When lifelong con men Benny (Dick Haymes), Matthew (Roland Young) and Monk Williams (Lionel Stander) don clerical garb for a job, they never expect religion to rub off on them. But soon enough, the virtue of their outer personas seems to influence their inner voices. Nina Foch and child star Freddie Bartholomew (who played opposite W.C. Fields in the title role of George Cukor's David Copperfield) co-star.
