Nominated for Best Feature for the Independent Spirit Awards, director Aric Avelino's ambitious drama tackles the controversial issue of gun ownership by weaving disparate story lines into one cohesive narrative. Characters include a gun store owner (Donald Sutherland) and his granddaughter (Linda Cardellini) in Virginia, a beleaguered high school principal (Forest Whitaker) in Chicago and a grieving single mother (Marcia Gay Harden) in Oregon.
