When singer Mavis Davis's (Jane Horrocks) star begins to fade, record company owner Marty (Rik Mayall) is desperate to boost her ratings -- and make his alimony payments. Inspired by the skyrocketing posthumous record sales of Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, Marty hires a hitman (Philip Martin-Brown) to knock her off, but that's easier said than done. Meanwhile, Marty has a mobster (Danny Aiello) breathing down his neck to promote his inept son.
