When a stray planet on an apparent collision course with Earth suddenly slows and takes orbit around the globe instead, Professor Benson (Claude Rains) and his colleagues set out to investigate the freak occurrence. They soon discover that the circling celestial mass is no ordinary planet. The clock is ticking as the crew formulates a plan to fend off what the professor has dubbed "the Outsider" in this Italian sci-fi classic.
