Irwin Allen re-creates Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tale in this spectacular sci-fi adventure. Professor Challenger (Claude Rains) leads a team of scientists and explorers on a quest for a remote plateau rumored to host prehistoric animals. After trekking through the unforgiving Amazon jungle, the team reaches its destination -- and becomes engaged in a fierce battle for survival as they face vicious beasts and cannibals.
