Widely considered one of director Fritz Lang's most accomplished feature films, this drama paints a portrait of German society in the 1920s -- decadent warts and all. When the criminal mastermind Dr. Mabuse (Rudolf Klein-Rogge) sets his sights on scamming a young millionaire (Paul Richter) out of his money, police commissioner Norbert von Wenck (Bernhard Goetzke) sets out to squash his plans.
