I Passed for White

Seeking a better life for herself, Bernice Lee (Sonya Wilde), a light-skinned black woman, leaves her family and attempts to pass herself off as white, going to great lengths to hide her true identity from everyone -- including her white husband. But the constant pressure of having to deceive her friends and family takes its toll on Bernice, who finally realizes that she'll not find true happiness while living a lie.
