This companion piece to HBO's hit Band of Brothers follows three World War II Marines -- Eugene Sledge (Joseph Mazzello), Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) -- through harrowing battles in the Pacific theater, including Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Based on memoirs by Sledge and Leckie and produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, the miniseries racked up eight Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe nod.
