Hoping to boost her lost confidence, Olivia (Amy Cale Peterson) postpones medical school to hike the Appalachian Trail, 2,170 miles from Maine to Georgia. Along the way, she joins up with Rollin (Scott Speiser), an emotionally distant writer, and Slackpack (Christopher McCutchen), an annoying joker. The months pass as the trio heads south, and as friendship blossoms into romance, the hikers share several powerful emotional moments.
