Twenty-five years after his disappearance, rock star Eddie Wilson (Michael Paré) is living in Montreal under a different name. When he sees unreleased masters of his band's second album tear up the charts after so many years, it spurs him to get back into music. He forms another band and hits the road for a new career under his assumed identity, Joe West. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band provide the fictional group's tunes in this sequel.
