Two favorite Asian pop stars of the period appear in this supernatural romance, which was co-produced by Jackie Chan and won the top Hong Kong Film award in 1988. Fleur (Anita Mui) is a prostitute in 1930s Hong Kong who runs away with the pampered son (Leslie Cheung) of a rich family. Misery follows, and the two make a suicide pact … but only Fleur goes through with it. Half a century later, her spirit returns, seeking her lost lover.
