Abel Shaddick (Peter Falk) is a lonely Jewish deli owner who accepts an inner-city kid, Herman (Aaron Meeks), into his home for the summer. Although the two come from different worlds, they manage to find common ground and forge a deep bond that lasts a lifetime. Written by Rod Serling ("The Twilight Zone") and directed by Robert Wise (Star Trek: The Motion Picture), this heartwarming Showtime original film is a pick-me-up for the entire family.
