After much soul-searching, Keith Lussier (Andrew McCarthy) and his wife, Kim (Teri Polo), decide to adopt a child. At first reluctant, Keith comes around when he sees a picture of his beautiful new daughter. But things abruptly change when Kim is diagnosed with cancer. That leaves Keith to negotiate the terms of the adoption, which are more stringent in light of Kim's life-threatening illness. Alan Metzger directs.
