Director Eric Rohmer's charming tale stars Béatrice Romand as impetuous but emotionally frail Sabine, a woman on a single-minded mission to find a husband. Ditching her married lover, she sets her sights on Edmond (André Dussollier), the attractive cousin of her best friend, Clarisse (Arielle Dombasle). Edmond is cordial to Sabine but unresponsive to her romantic overtures. Will her persistence eventually win him over?
