Young gay couple Philippe (Bruno Todeschini) and Jean (Jeremie Renier) are forced to hide their love -- and their Jewish friend Sara, who's come to stay with them -- from their families and the occupying Germans in 1940s Paris, or they'll face certain death. When Sara shows up after her family is killed, the two take her in. But their secret life as members of the "third sex" becomes harder to conceal, especially from Jean's Nazi-sympathizing family.
