Based on the novel by writer Ihsan Abdel Qoddous, A Man in Our House stars Omar Sharif as Ibrahim, a resistance fighter who must find safety from government goons by hiding out in the home of a civilian and his family. His presence there brings up conflicts that all Egyptians faced as they grappled with British rule, even as feelings of nationalism and independence begin to overtake the country's citizens.
