Sal Mineo stars as Luigi Maresi, a troubled Army grunt who's also a talented but frustrated musician. After he and his buddies come up with the catchy tune "It's the Same Old Army," they're whisked away to New York to perform on television. But will Luigi's personal problems wreck their big break? Nominated for a 1960 Golden Globe, this musical comedy also stars Gary Crosby, Barbara Eden, Jim Backus and Bob Denver.
