A Slight Case of Murder

  (1938)
Slyly spoofing his gangster persona in this quirky comedy, Edward G. Robinson stars as Remy Marco, a bootlegger trying to keep his business afloat after Prohibition ends. Trouble is, his foul-tasting beer can't compete in the free market, causing sales to plummet and threatening to put Marco in the poor house. As if that weren't enough, he must also contend with the cops watching his every move -- and four corpses in his vacation home.
