This 1999 documentary salutes the great Pakistani vocalist Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Best known in the United States for his collaborations with singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel, Nusrat popularized Qawwali music, an ancient Sufic form of praising Allah. Performance footage and interviews with the artists and producers who worked with Nusrat provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his life and his music, which champions peace and spiritual love.
