Three couples ring in the New Year in this award-winning Croatian film. Their parallel stories of illicit sex, drugs and desperation underscore social upheaval in the port town of Split. The players include a drug dealer (Marinko Prga), his widowed client (Nives Ivankovic), a drug addict (Marija Skaricic) on a one-night stand with an American sailor (Coolio), and a sexually frustrated young couple (Vicko Bilandzic and Ivana Roscic).
