A Year in Provence

This adaptation of Peter Mayle's true-life best-seller, originally produced for the A&E cable channel, chronicles the first year Peter (John Thaw) and his wife (Lindsay Duncan) spent in an old French farmhouse after quitting the London rat race. Amid the gastronomical splendors, the couple also had to make hilarious adjustments to the idiosyncrasies of life in France. The miniseries is split into volumes according to the year's seasons.
