Madan (Jeetendra) and Ganga (Reena Roy) are a happy, successful middle-class couple sharing a house with Madan's brother Sharad (Govinda). The household is prosperous and respected by the community. When Sharad weds his beloved Poonam (Meenakshi Seshadri), the extended family's joy grows but is short-lived when infertility and greed destroy love and devotion. Ganga is the key to saving both marriages and restoring family harmony.
