Superb performances drive this psychological study of a reclusive and guilt-ridden business tycoon, Rajesh (Dilip Kumar), who's funding his friend's way through medical school. Unable to control his feelings, however, Rajesh falls in love with Shekhar's girlfriend (Waheeda Rehman). After an unexpected turn of events, the unhappy Rajesh is astonished to see a different girl (whom he knows) as Shekar's wife.
