Amar (Rajesh Khanna) and Mansi (Sharmila Tagore) are an idealistic young couple certain their love will last forever. Past the honeymoon and through their first anniversary, romance and passion remain strong. Sadly, the pressures of work and parenthood take their toll on the once devoted pair. Can the two restore the happiness that they once knew, or will Mansi's indifference and Amar's indiscretions destroy a formerly pure love?
