Anjali (Amrita Rao), a young Indian woman born and raised abroad, has visions of her ancestral homeland, which a holy man tells her are from a past life. He advises her to travel to India, but her father forbids it until she agrees to an arranged marriage. Anjali defies him, though, and flees, encountering car thieves, rebellion and a reincarnated romance when she arrives in India. Meanwhile, her father has the authorities following her every move.
