A successful real estate executive who finds his easy life unsatisfying leaves his job and family to dig ditches for the WPA. He soon falls in love with a beautiful immigrant and organizes her poor neighbors to demand better living conditions. In his passionate crusade, he even manages to gain the support of his former boss and father-in-law. George Montgomery, Osa Massen and J. Carrol Naish star in this romantic drama.
