A gunner and sergeant who battled over the same woman's affections during basic training are forced to work together when they crash their plane on a Pacific island occupied by Japanese troops. While the enemy swirls around them, these former rivals must rush to repair their plane if they hope to escape. The rousing World War II thriller, told in flashback by the wounded gunner, stars Chester Morris, Richard Arlen and Jimmy Lydon.
