Separated by tragedy, twin brothers Ratan and Chaman (both played by Ashok Kumar) grow up to lead separate lives, with the amnesiac Ratan having no memories of his past. Meanwhile, the little girl who once loved Ratan (Veena) has since become a woman -- and she's never stopped thinking about his face. B.R. Chopra's directorial debut (written by veteran Bollywood actor I.S. Johar) features the hit song "Abhi To Mai Jawaan Hoon."
