Among the four specials in this compilation from the Emmy Award-winning ABC series is "A Matter of Time," which stars Rob Lowe in the story of a family coming to terms with the mother's terminal cancer. In other tales, Bonnie Bartlett portrays a parent with a drinking problem in "First Step"; a troubled inner-city teen is the focus of "Tough Girl"; and Jason Hervey plays a boy whose widowed father buries his grief in work in "The Night Swimmers."
