In this hourlong instructional video, jazz-fusion drummer Akira Jimbo -- who kicked off his career by becoming a member of the Keio University Light Music Society Big Band -- demonstrates his concept of the drum as a solo instrument. Combining electronic and acoustic skins through a drum triggering system, Jimbo is a one-man band, playing melody, harmony and rhythm. Interviews and behind-the-scenes footage are included.
