The PBS series "American Masters" highlights the lives of great Americans and their contributions to society and the arts; this episode features the work of imaginative sculptor Alexander Calder. At a point when art was in a cataclysmic state, Calder brought fun and joy back into the collective picture. His aesthetic marvels often had no boundaries, from animals made of wire to a towering man of metal.
