The second entry in Egyptian director Youssef Chahine's autobiographical "Alexandria" trilogy continues the story of filmmaker Yehia Mourad (Noui El-Sherif). When the filmmaker is put under for emergency heart surgery, he experiences a surrealist review of his life's events, from his failed romances to the Egyptian revolution and his desire to be a big Hollywood success. Fans of Chahine will recognize re-creations of two of his most famous films.
