The fifth and final season of this Emmy-winning series finds charmingly goofy lawyer Ally McBeal (Calista Flockhart) discovering that 10-year-old Maddie Harrington (Hayden Panettiere) may be her biological daughter, thanks to a mistake at the egg bank where Ally once made a deposit. Meanwhile, Ally makes partner at the firm, and Ling (Lucy Liu) scores a promotion to judge. Kyra Sedgwick, Heather Locklear, Matthew Perry and Elton John guest star.
