Gathered together in a spacious yet stifling apartment building, a group of tenants share their innermost secrets, hidden loves, dark obsessions and introspective anguish with one another. Helmed by Hungarian director Bela Tarr, this intensely brooding film (rumored to be inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit") traverses the raw emotional inevitabilities of closely corralled human interaction.
