Involving oddballs and outsiders traversing western America, three stories of malevolence converge in this offbeat film, starting with the tale of a serial-killing vacuum salesman (John Savage) who meets his match in an inscrutable woman (Jennifer Tilly) who collects such wares. Next, a suicidal man (Luke Perry) enlists an eager hit man to do the job. Lastly, a group of misfits cross the desert en route to a diner, where frustrations boil over.
