Determined to chart his own path in life, American-born college student Sureel (Aalok Mehta) upsets his traditional Indian parents. The young music major resorts keeps his choice of studies -- and social activities -- a secret from his father (Paresh Rawal). He wants him to be a doctor, but when Sureel begins dating an Indian girl, he finally pleases his folks -- who then begin arranging his marriage.
