In this feature-length documentary, writer-director Kirk Roos shares the inspiring story of Herro Mustafa, a Muslim-Kurdish refugee who moved to the United States as a child with her family and grew up as an American -- but never forgot her homeland. As Herro and her family recount their efforts to assimilate to a new culture, they discuss the challenges of keeping Kurdish traditions alive in the pursuit of the American dream.
