Behind the walls of a Japanese internment camp during World War II, Lyle Nomura (Aaron Yoo) mourns a baseball scholarship he'll never fulfill, while guard Billy (Gary Cole) wallows in bitterness over never making it beyond the minors. When Nomura falls for Billy's daughter (Sarah Drew), tensions rise, until Nomura's dad suggests a simple game of baseball. Desmond Nakano's drama unites the great American game with one of the country's darkest moments.
