Determined to get her daughter, Jenna (Jane McGregor), to the gold medal podium at the Olympics, domineering figure skating coach Celia Lane (Rebecca De Mornay) pushes the girl ruthlessly -- and when Jenna breaks away by fleeing to Vancouver, Celia goes into a tailspin. Vowing to bring Jenna home at any cost, Celia grabs her gun and heads for the U.S.-Canadian border, only to find herself adrift in a very different world.
