Set in a small 1970s mining town, this film centers on discontented teen Amy Goodrow (Hanna R. Hall) and her overbearing mother (Elisabeth Shue), who's dealing with her own issues. Seeking escape, Amy falls for her math teacher while mom develops a crush on her married boss. Tensions rise as the townsfolk begin to gossip about the Goodrow women. Oprah Winfrey produced this drama based on Elizabeth Stout's novel.
