With his marriage on the verge of failing, Howard (Mel Jackson) makes a terrible mistake when he invites a stranded stranger, Silk (Mekhi Phifer), into his home to use the phone. The smooth-talking Silk easily charms Howard's wife, Debbie (Mari Morrow), and her friend while Howard and his pals rewrite his screenplay in another room. Before long, Silk's in control, and Debbie, Howard and their houseguests find themselves in serious danger.
