Based on actual events, this realistic whodunit chronicles the resolution of an open murder case that stumped investigators for decades. The year is 1973, and a troupe of detectives is forced to rely on the primitive forensics technology of the day to solve the brutal murder of young mother Dee Ann Maguire (Alanna Thompson). But they'll have to wait almost 30 years for the necessary advances in DNA matching that they need to make an arrest.
