After being thrown from a speeding car, a young woman (Jaya Bhaduri) is found by a misogynistic writer named Devendra (Sanjeev Kumar). He takes her home, where she regains consciousness and insists that he's her husband. At his uncle's urging, Devendra humors the girl until she regains her memory, but along the way, he falls for her while learning some unsettling things about her past in this Bollywood mystery romance from 1973.
