Andy Warhol

  (1987)
The son of poor Czech immigrants, Andy Warhol became one of the most unlikely vanguards of underground art, design and cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. The first of several Warhol documentaries, this one was produced a year after his 1987 death. It features rare clips and footage from the artist's 25-year career, including film of his Manhattan studio, interviews with Warhol and his cronies, and clips from some of his film forays.
