Brooding, repentant vampire Angel (David Boreanaz) is still trying to settle into life in Los Angeles after leaving his true love, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in Sunnydale. The show's storylines and tempo only get better in this second season, with Charisma Carpenter and Juliet Landau helping Angel find his bearings in his new world -- and providing ample confusion, danger and unknowns along the way.
