Anglo-Saxon Attitudes

  (1992)
At the end of his career, historian Gerald Middleton (Richard Johnson) reflects on the folly of his life as an academic, with particular focus on two scandals: one involving a momentous archaeological find, the other involving his best friend's fiancée (Tara Fitzgerald). Based on the classic British novel by Angus Wilson, this slyly satirical U.K. miniseries from 1992 features appearances by future stars Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig.
