This riotous documentary follows the contentious 2004 mayoral race in Bogota, N.J., detailing the foibles and petty grudges that often make small-town politics bare-knuckled brawls. As hated Republican incumbent Steve Lonegan fights to save his seat, the Democrats drag ailing politico Fred Pesce out of retirement to run against Lonegan. Meanwhile, their intrigues may allow independent candidate (and former gridiron hero) Dave Musikant to prevail.
