When a longtime friend becomes too ill to run his bar, Archie Bunker (Carroll O'Connor) buys it and renames it "Archie's Place." Picking up where "All in the Family" left off, this popular spinoff moved the action from the Bunker household to Archie's new watering hole, with Edith (Jean Stapleton) visiting often until her death in the show's next season. The cast of characters also includes Martin Balsam, Danielle Brisebois and Anne Meara.
