Anil and Shobha are in love, but caring for his mother and sister leaves Anil little time for his own happiness. While away on business, his family is blackmailed by an underhanded industrialist named J.K., who demands Shobha's hand in marriage. When Anil returns, he's devastated by Shobha's apparent betrayal.
