When hired gun and mercenary Cal Dexter (Sam Elliott) meddles with a CIA sting, the agent in charge (Timothy Hutton) orders his operatives to take Dexter out in this gripping political thriller. Ex-special forces soldier Dexter dedicates his life to taking out dangerous criminals. But when he gets too close to secret government operations, he becomes a hunted man. Based on Frederick Forsyth's novel, the film co-stars James Cromwell.
